Co-founder of Next-Gen Biomed, Andy Chen strives to open doors to as many passionate, ambitious, and driven students as possible. He currently serves as the President of Next-Gen Biomed, Lightridge Biomedicine Club, and is the Director of Events for STEM Research Society. He has attended Stanford CNV-I (Neuroscience) and ODU's Medical Laboratory Scientist Immersion program. He is currently interested in neuroscience and biomedicine.

Akul Gowda stems from a long line of health professionals, including his father, who works as a CDC advisor. His passion to work alongside aspiring students in science has led to his role in Next-Gen Biomed. Serving as the current Outreach Coordinator, Akul seeks to ensure opportunities are given to every student, no matter their background. In his spare time, Akul enjoys playing basketball and volunteering for Special Olympic games as a referee, and he is an avid chess player.
